Today I’ll be going on a hunt, a hunt for masking tape.
Yes indeed.

I messed up writing ‘hunt’ at least 6 times.
Any who, today I’ll be getting some more masking tape.
The later I’ll probably work on my helmet.
… Most likely not, since I’ll be with my sister.

Well at first, I had COMPLETELY no idea how to make it…
I started looking up tutorials, which took like 4 hours.
The first few tutorials I found all showed how to make helmets by casting them, but that just cost WAY to much for me.
I don’t have a lot of money right now so, I wanted to find a way to make it cheap.
Then, right as I was going to give up searching for one, I found these two WONDERFUL tutorials ;

First I watched the first tutorial, then read the second.
Making sure I knew how everything was going to work out, and that I had all the materials.
Then, I followed the video but I used masking tape and not clear packaging/scotch tape like the video shows.
After the video steps, I’ve just been following the steps on the website.
Right now, I just got done applying paper mache on the whole helmet which I did 3 layers.
Altogether it only took a day to get that far, so it’s moving by really quickly.

Still fixing up some minor problems with the base, but it’s coming along.
Other than the minor problems with the base, the base is finished, I just been to finish the horns so I can attach them then I’ll be able to work on the details.
I’m at a stand still with it though, I originally bought two large rolls of tape, then I thought “one is plenty.” WELL, one definitely wasn’t plenty.
… I ran out of tape earlier this evening.

Though, seeing as it’s the first helmet I’ve ever made, I think it’s turning out rather smashing.
